It was another pretty hot night, and while I made sure to stay sufficiently hydrated, I still woke up feeling marginal. However, this time all I had to do was go for a brief walk, and I felt much better afterwards. I even managed to squeeze in another stretching routine before I went for my run, and that really allowed me to get in the groove. It’s amazing what a bit of preparation will do for you.

Even though I was able to handle this morning pretty well, things started to get a bit chaotic after I finished my blog for the day. I had to go run some errands that I hadn’t planned for, and I also had to help my kids with their homework. Mind you, I also had to manage the rain as I went about all of this, and by the end I felt pretty drained. It was tough, but once again I was prepared. I plan my schedule out specifically to accommodate unexpected events, and I was able to move between tasks pretty efficiently.

Luckily, the rest of my day went smoothly. I was able to work out in peace, and I ordered food from a restaurant so I wouldn’t have to cook. I honestly felt a little disappointed about missing out on the joys of cooking, but I felt like I really needed to give myself a break after going through this whirlwind of a day. I practically passed out after I finished eating, so I likely would have done the same in the middle of cooking in front of a hot stove!
