How To Stop Being Lazy And Start Crushing It — Day 70
I slept like a baby last night knowing that I wouldn’t wake up to an ocean on my kitchen floor. After a hectic morning the previous day, being able to get up and have a relaxing, peaceful breakfast felt very satisfying. I did still have to move some furniture and appliances back into their proper places, but hauling stuff around is much easier now that I’m in better shape. It turns out that even chores become an afterthought when you have a bit more energy and muscle to get the job done.
I breezed through my workout without a problem. In fact, during my morning run, I went for a walk, and I saw a flyer stating that volunteers were needed for community service next weekend. I want to be a positive force in the world, and what better way to do that than by sacrificing my time and energy for the community? I called to register myself right away, so I have some interesting work to look forward to!
Tonight’s dinner and workout were both enjoyable, nothing out of the ordinary. My cravings still come and go, but for the most part I hardly even think about them. The only times I’m ever really tempted are when I’m hungry and catch a whiff of something delectable. I realize that I’m still far from fully conquering my cravings, so I need to keep challenging myself. I could try fasting, going sugar-free, drinking nothing but water–the possibilities are endless.
