How to Stop Being Lazy and Take Control — Day 90
I woke up early this morning eager to go on another run, but it was absolutely pouring rain outside, and it didn’t seem like it was going to let up anytime soon. I was a bit disappointed at first, but then I figured I’d just sit down by the window and have a nice long mindfulness session against a calming backdrop of rain. I’m glad I didn’t let some dashed expectations ruin what was otherwise a great start to my day. Sometimes you just have to take what nature gives you and roll with it.
Lately, I’ve been noticing how motivated I am to be active and on my feet at all hours of the day. The only time I’m noticeably sedentary is towards the end of the day and during long periods of work, but even then I make sure to walk around and stretch every now and then. When I’m not exercising, it always seems like I’m engaged in some chore or errand, and I think that’s really helped me make the most of my lifestyle change. After all, getting fit wouldn’t be of much use if I didn’t even have the energy to keep up with my usual duties.

Pretty soon my physique will get the memo and reflect just how energetic I’ve become.
Speaking of energy, I had plenty of that for tonight’s workout. Since I was feeling a bit adventurous and wanted to increase my gains, I experimented with higher weight, lower reps, and longer rest periods. Building some additional muscle will help me lose weight a bit faster, but I’m not a fan of waiting for so long in between sets–the workout ends up taking forever!
