Some Days are Better than Others That’s the Way it is — Day 138

I spent this morning appreciating what I was able to accomplish yesterday. I know I always harp on staying grounded in the present, but I couldn’t help but feel proud of myself and excited for what I’ll be able to do next. Besides, as long as it doesn’t interfere with your everyday duties, I don’t think it’s wrong to enjoy that rush of endorphins for as long as possible. What’s the point of going through all this effort if you aren’t going to enjoy yourself?

I had a pretty light schedule for the majority of my day, so I was able to get deep into some reading. I keep trying to discover more and more about dieting in hopes that I’ll be able to improve my health even further, as well as sustain my fitness once I reach a desirable level. On this occasion, I learned that I’m not alone in feelings towards vegetables–it turns out that many people don’t like them simply because they’re used to them being poorly seasoned. It always helps to know that many of the issues that come from trying to get healthy are common among the general population, as it reassures you that you aren’t abnormal.

I’m starting to look pretty fit with a shirt on, so hopefully it won’t be long before I look chiseled without one!

For tonight’s dinner I had to limit myself to just a single helping, as I’m trying to adjust my overall caloric intake. My main objective is to build as much muscle as possible, but I don’t want to gain too much additional weight on top of that. If there’s a caloric surplus, then I’m going to continue to gain weight no matter the food I’m eating, so I need to take measures to prevent this from happening. If I’m going to reach my goals, I’ll need to be almost perfect with everything I do.
