Sometimes I Just Want to Quit So Far I Have Not — Day 132
It was raining pretty hard this morning, and despite a bit of reluctance, I still managed to pull myself together and go on a run. If you didn’t already guess, running in heavy rain is extremely challenging–not only does it feel like you’re drowning, but you’re always one misstep away from tripping and falling. I had to be laser focused both physically and mentally in order to have a successful run. It’s important to try and be daring without falling into recklessness, and I feel like I did a decent job of that this morning.
After I got home this afternoon, I made good on my promise to myself and decided to learn something new. I opted to read some articles about the biological mechanisms behind weight loss, since it would be directly applicable to my current endeavors. Even though this info was somewhat relevant to things I’ve learned recently, learning anything about the world just makes me so glad to be alive and sentient. Put simply, the more you know, the more you’re able to appreciate about this life.

I never thought I’d look at my body with such pride at this age.
Tonight’s workout was pretty standard, nothing of note to report (sometimes that’s a good thing). However, I have made sure to implement some special stretches and warm-ups prior to lifting heavy, as doing so helps take stress off of my ever-ageing joints. Doing so has worked wonders for me thus far.
