This morning was pleasant as usual, except for the fact that I didn’t get to eat breakfast until later since I had to take care of a few errands. This reminded me of my shortsighted attempts to fast. That was before I realized that fasting was not going to be some miracle solution for weight loss and fitness, not to mention that I was absolutely miserable while I was doing it. Instead, I’ve simply adopted more mindful eating habits, and that’s been much more effective and enjoyable for me.

I felt inclined to go out for a walk after I…

I must say that this morning was absolutely spectacular. I woke up feeling fresh and brand new, went on a nice run, had an uplifting mindfulness session, and then capped it off with a light breakfast. I was feeling so good that I barely even felt the need to eat; it was as if everything else I did that morning was nourishment in its own right. As long as I can function properly and be in a good mental space, then I’m totally fine with eating less!

As I was out running errands later in the day, I stopped on…

I woke up this morning feeling super fresh and motivated; I was practically on my feet and out for a run in a matter of minutes. For whatever reason, I just felt like I was going to make some groundbreaking progress with my fitness today, so I was extremely eager to get right down to business. You get to see what you’re made of every day, so why pass up on that chance? I revel in the opportunity to do this first thing in the morning, greet the challenge head-on.

Although I felt really great in the morning, I got…

I just have to take a moment to appreciate that I’m now on day 150 of this journey–it’s really remarkable how far I’ve come! It honestly feels hard to believe that I’ve been growing into this lifestyle for so long, and even though it seems like ages since I first decided to make a change in my life, I’m only just getting started. I’ve got more milestones to reach, much more work to do, so I’m going to stay motivated as I continue down this path to fitness. …

This morning I finally got back to my morning run, and I must say that it went great. I tried to make a conscious effort not to go too hard and ease myself back in, but I couldn’t help myself once I started moving. It literally felt like a huge relief that I was able to get all sweaty and out of breath, which is really saying something about how far I’ve come!

Later on in the day, as I was reminding myself to maintain good posture while lifting heavy things around, I realized just how much my lifestyle has…

I felt really rejuvenated after waking up this morning, and I practically felt zero pain in my ankle. Despite this, I still decided to give myself one more day before I started running again, just to be safe. However, it was a beautiful day and I really wanted to be out in nature, so I went for a short walk in place of a run. I can’t express how great it was to return to some semblance of my usual routine, even though it’s only been a couple days!

I had a really pleasant conversation with a stranger as I…

My ankle felt a lot better today, but I still decided not to risk running on it. Better to be patient and come back full force than to rush me into another (probably worse) injury. Instead, I had a lengthy session of mindfulness and meditation, and that really got my mind primed for the day. Although I couldn’t help but feel a bit odd since I was deprived of my usual morning run. I suppose there was simply no avoiding this feeling, and while I didn’t get to run, I did get in some nice mental preparation. …

This morning I turned my ankle a bit as I was out running. It was nothing too serious, and I was able to lumber back home before it swelled up, but it’s definitely going to be sore for a while. It would be best to rest and let it heal up before I run again, but I think I can still do upper body workouts if I’m careful. It’s a shame because this minor injury wouldn’t have even bothered me when I was younger, but I guess Father Time comes for us all in one way or another.

Despite my…

This morning was really tremendous. I woke up eager to prepare my mind, had a hearty breakfast, and finally had a really great run. I can’t stress enough how well this refined routine sets the tone for each day. Peace, reflection, nourishment, and a good challenge–it’s simply the perfect way to kick off a successful day. In fact, any day in which I go out and perform my earthly duties to the best of my abilities is a success in my book, and my routine helps me do just that.

The rest of my day went just as well. Since…

I woke up this morning with an awful lot to look forward to, and the best part is that I didn’t have anything spectacular planned for today! In fact, today was going to be as typical as ever in terms of my daily schedule, but I’ve been learning how to really appreciate the various activities you engage in throughout the day. I love going on runs, I love finishing my chores, and I definitely love preparing and eating my meals with care. And honestly, if you find that you don’t have anything to look forward to during your day, then…
